Gray Western Electric Paystation Vintage Pay Phone Up for auctoin is a gray paystation pay phone circa early 1900's. It has a western electric candlestick anchored to the unit. The label is inatct and perfectly ledgible.
Teh candlestick phone is in excellent shape and still has the original wires connected to it. The candlestick phone sits beautifully on a plate that is part of the paystation. hTe parts inside are stamped with feb 8th 1898 pat pendings. The base of the phone says aug 16 04 sept 12 04 jan 26 15. The label on the fornt says feb 16 1909 aug 24 1909. The coin box has some missing paint on the front, sides, and top. The back looks pretty good with no missing paint. I broke a key when i took it out of its storage box (i know its hard to believe but i bent it pulling it out of the box), the broken key is for the coin box not the top lock. I was able with almost no problem to open the coin box by inserting the broken piece and turning with a tweezer. I'm pretty sure the key can be fixed, all of the notcehs are intact and the lock still works when you insert it. The wires are intact and strong but the covering is pretty shot. I have seen a few of these occasionally on ebay, ubt i haven't seen any with a western electric candlestick. I probably won't be putting this up again, the ebay fees are pretty hefty with all of these pictures, so. Good luckodmestic shipping chargesi'm not sure if the shipping calculator is working right.
